Rhetoric: the art of effective or persuasive speaking or writing, especially the use of figures of speech and other compositional techniques.

I have always seen a connection between Rhetoric and food, They both have a sense of deep Art in each other. For example when your writing a piece of paper or essay you feel connected to the topic and concentrate in making sense of what your writing, this is similar to when your doing something else like cooking. You feel connected to the ingredients and concentrate in whats going to be the final taste of that plate.

Another example would be on how they both help express yourself. Again with creating a plate or writing any type of essay, your putting your own thoughts or flavor and thus creating your own sense of expression.
